Cancellation Policy

The Circling Institute Program Cancellation Policy

The power of commitment is essential–especially in personal growth. That said, we understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life and have designed a cancellation policy with that in mind.

As you are aware, The Circling Institute (“TCI”) promotes our programs well in advance. Once programs become sold out, we stop promoting them. Thus any requests for transfers or cancellations after that point will result in a loss of revenue for TCI. Due to the short notice, we also lose the ability to fill your spot and the revenue of potentially selling the new spot. Therefore, you agree by registering for a program through TCI that the cancellation fees charged below are a reasonable estimate of the damages incurred by TCI in the event of cancellation, and are not intended as a penalty. This Policy will be strictly enforced and your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Our cancellation policy offers the following options:

When you register for a program you have 3 days to cancel or make a transfer without being charged a transfer fee (except for the processing fee), after which the following policy applies. However, once the Workshop has begun you may not cancel this transaction. In all cases you have a choice to pay the transfer fee, or forfeit the program.

If for any reason you cannot attend the program, you may find someone else to attend in your place and submit written notification of that person’s name and contact information to TCI. For The Art of Circling Trainings, this person must be approved by TCI staff.

If any products or bonuses are received in conjunction with the offer, they must either be returned in excellent condition or paid for in full. (Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable.)

All cancellations must be in writing and delivered via email to support[at] or by mail to 2336 Channing Way, Apt A, Berkeley, CA 94704. Voicemail and verbal correspondence do not constitute written cancellation notice, however we also request you contact us via phone if you wish to cancel (1-989-397-8386).

Cancellation notice will be deemed to be the date on which TCI receives the written notification. Should the client fail to notify TCI in writing of any changes and not “attend” the event, there will be no refunds, credits or transfers available. Likewise, if you are in a program including coaching, you are fully responsible for scheduling all of your coaching sessions. Failure to do so will not result in a refund of any kind.

Our program Transfer/Cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 0-3 days from the date of registration: Full refund or full transfer credit less $75 processing fee
  • 90 + days prior to start of program: *Full transfer credit of full tuition or refund less 10% of full tuition
  • 60 + days prior to start of program: *Transfer credit less 10% of full tuition or refund less 20% of full tuition
  • 31 + days prior to start of program: *Transfer credit less 20% of full tuition or refund less 30% of full tuition
  • 0-30 days prior to start of program: *Transfer credit less 30% of full tuition; refunds not available
  • Once program has commenced: No refunds or credits available.

This cancellation policy applies to the amount of the full tuition, regardless of whether you pay in full or use a payment plan.

* Program transfer credits are valid for 1 year from the date of cancellation.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold TCI harmless from any and all liabilities, losses, costs, damages, penalties, and any other expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising directly or indirectly from either your actions or omissions, or your breach of any obligation imposed or sought to be imposed by this Agreement.

TCI will not be liable to you, or anyone who may claim any right due to a relationship with you, for any actions or omissions by you or on the part of your employees or agents. You will indemnify and hold TCI harmless from any obligation, cost claim, judgment, attorneys’ and legal fees, and attachments in any way connected with the services rendered under the terms of this Agreement. Any controversies arising out of the terms of this Agreement or its interpretation shall be settled in San Francisco County, California in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and the judgment upon award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

Any time payments are made more than 3 days past payment schedule date you will be charged a $25 administrative fee. If you have elected a payment plan option, any returned checks or rejected credit cards may also result in the institution of a cash only policy for your account. You agree to pay reasonable attorneys fee and costs associated with the collection of any amounts owed hereunder.

All dates and locations are subject to change with prior written notice.

No program pricing includes food and lodging. If food and lodging are offered, the sum is paid directly to TCI or the service provider BEFORE each retreat. We will contact you for rates or options accordingly.
